Starknet Edu Newsletter #5
If you notice something different is because we have moved to Revue, Twitter's newsletter platform. Another important change is that we want to use the newsletter as a tool to highlight educational content created by the StarkNet community.
If you are creating articles, courses, tutorials, videos or threads that relate to StarkNet, tag @barretodavid on Twitter to be highlighted in the newsletter and reach a wider audience.
StarkNet Africa Cairo Online Class
This free 8-week course is being organized by Darlington (@0xdarlington), Blessing (@Theblessingemah) and Paul (@paulemmanuelng) and it's targeted at African developers who are interested in building on StarkNet. If you want to take part in the course you better hurry and register because the first session starts this Sunday, October 30th.

WTF is Account Abstraction
Julien Niset (@jniset) from Argent show us some of the benefits that Account Abstraction (AA) brings to users in the form of multicall transactions, session keys for gaming, social recovery, enhanced security and much more. AA might seem like a footnote compared to all the other enhancements that StarkNet brings, but it is a big step forward in usability (UX). A must if we really want to bring web3 to the masses.

Events on StarkNet
The folks at Empiric Network explain how events are defined and used in Cairo smart contracts, and how indexers allow us to mimic "callbacks" to display data returned from StarkNet as a result of invoking a transaction.
Midway through, the article turns into a tutorial showing how to use the GraphQL interface of the StarkNet Indexer to query events coming from Empiric's Oracle to learn how their price feeds are constructed.
Running a StarkNet Indexer
Follow along with Ben Goebel (@DrSpacemn) to learn why indexers are an important piece of the StarkNet tech stack and how you can create your very own parsing and formatting events emitted by your smart contracts using Go and SQLite.
