StarkNet Open Source Sequencer
StarkWare is developing a new Apache 2.0 licensed StarkNet sequencer! As Eli Ben-Sasson says, “Speak softly and deliver big code”. The sequencer is written in Rust and the first goal is to increase StarkNet’s throughput. Long-term, the sequencer will play a critical role in the decentralization of the StarkNet network.
Release the Cairo!!!
Just keep shipping, just keep shipping, just keep shipping, shipping, shipping. We are releasing Cairo 1.0-alpha.2, which brings a host of new features to the language:
It is now possible to implement an ERC20 contract
Dictionaries, contract events, storage mappings, traits, type inferences, methods, oh my!
Those new linguistic features will be applicable in the upcoming StarkNet-v0.11.0 version
Scarb | Cairo Package Manager
Scarb is a new package manager and build tool for Cairo 1.0 written by the talented team at Software Mansion:
Currently open sourced and on its alpha release
Build tool for developing any Cairo project, not just StarkNet contracts
Takes inspiration from the Rust build tool cargo
Will feature extensibility system to allow user augmentation
